This plant wonder is an evergreen shrub endemic to eastern New South Wales and southeastern Queensland in Australia. It grows to a height of between 0,2 and 3 meters, with a bearing that is usually compact and rounded, but can take the shape of a small tree. The leaves are lanceolate, somewhat leathery, between 0,5 and 3,5 cm long.
It blooms from mid-winter to summer, producing spider or sea urchin-like flowers of assorted colors: red, pink, yellow, orange, or greenish.
